Please read these terms carefully before using AI4REDU.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AI4REDU website, courses, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated at ai4redu.com ("we," "us," or "AI4REDU"). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1.Who We Are
AI4REDU is an academic platform providing courses, resources, and tools designed to help researchers, postgraduate students, and educators use Generative AI responsibly and effectively in academic research, teaching, and writing.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and purchase paid courses on AI4REDU. If you are under this age, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
3.Account Registration
To access certain features, including enrolling in courses and tracking your progress, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4.Courses and Enrollment
4.1 Free Courses
Free courses are available to any registered user at no cost. Access may be limited or modified at our discretion, including changes to content, structure, or availability.
4.2 Paid Courses
Paid courses require full payment before access is granted. Prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) or the applicable displayed currency and are subject to change without prior notice, though changes will not affect courses you have already purchased.
4.3 Payment Methods
We accept payment via supported card and mobile money channels displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and by making a purchase you also agree to that provider's applicable terms.
4.4 Course Access
Upon successful payment, you will receive access to the purchased course through your account dashboard. Access is granted for personal, non-transferable use only.
5.Refund Policy
To request a refund, contact us at contact@ai4redu.com with your order details. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
6.Assignments, Certificates, and Completion
Some courses include assignments submitted for review, and certificates of completion where applicable. Certificates confirm participation and completion of course requirements as assessed by AI4REDU; they do not constitute formal academic accreditation unless explicitly stated for a specific course.
7.Acceptable Use
When using the Platform, you agree not to:
- Share your account access or course content with individuals who have not purchased or enrolled
- Copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly republish course materials, videos, or downloadable resources without written permission
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or Platform systems
- Upload or submit content that is defamatory, infringing, or otherwise unlawful as part of assignments or discussions
8.Intellectual Property
All course content, videos, written materials, templates, toolkits, graphics, and branding on AI4REDU are the property of AI4REDU or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Purchasing or enrolling in a course grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use the content for your own learning purposes. It does not transfer any ownership rights.
9.Responsible Use of AI Tools
AI4REDU's courses teach the use of Generative AI tools for academic and research purposes. While we provide guidance on responsible, ethical, and effective AI use, you remain solely responsible for how you apply this guidance in your own academic work, including compliance with your institution's specific academic integrity policies. AI4REDU does not guarantee that use of any AI tool discussed in our courses will satisfy the requirements of any particular institution, publisher, or examining body.
10.Third-Party Tools and Links
Our courses and resources may reference or link to third-party AI tools, websites, or services (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Rayyan). AI4REDU does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of any third-party tool is governed by that tool's own terms and privacy policy.
11.Events
AI4REDU may list third-party conferences and events on our Events page for informational purposes. We are not the organizer of these events, and registration, payment, and attendance for such events is handled directly through the organizing body's own website. AI4REDU is not responsible for the conduct, content, or cancellation of third-party events.
12.User-Submitted Content
If you submit assignments, comments, testimonials, or other content through the Platform, you grant AI4REDU a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform, including in anonymized or aggregated form for testimonials or case studies, unless you request otherwise.
13.Disclaimers
The Platform and all course content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI4REDU does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that course content will meet your specific academic, professional, or personal requirements.
14.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI4REDU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of academic standing, loss of data, or reliance on AI-generated outputs discussed within our courses.
15.Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, without prejudice to any rights or remedies available to us.
16.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
17.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
